It was a similar spirit of adventure that spurred brothers Matt and Bill Miller and their team to open J. Carver Distillery in Waconia, creating a line of spirits that infuse old favorites with new flavors, using ingredients grown close to home.

J. Carver Distillery announces the introduction of a trio of grain-to-glass, handcrafted, small batch spirits: Lake House Ultra-Premium Vodka, Grimm Farm Ultra-Premium Gin, and the first barrel gin distilled in Minnesota: J. Carver Barrel Gin.
Waconia and its neighboring cities contain three wineries and two breweries. And last fall, a distillery was added to the tally. J. Carver Distillery erected its stills last August and sent its first bottles to market on October 23.
